The 1963 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder which is considered to be one of the finest collaborations in engineering history (with Enzo Ferrari enlisting Pininfarina to design the model and Scaglietti to build it), has been put on the market by Ascot-based Talacrest.

Auto experts believe that the unique collobration give the classic car an $8 million (5 million pounds) pricetag. The 1963 Ferrari has appeared in a number of films with silver screen actress, Cameron Diaz driving it in the 2003 film "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle."  

"The car underwent a full nut and bolt restoration three years ago which took two years to complete," John Colins, who runs Talacrest, told the Daily Mail. "I've only had the model up for sale for a week and I've already had plenty of interest from around the world. It is one of the most beautiful open-top Ferraris ever built and one of the most desirable sports cars anywhere in the world."  

The model comes with four-speed gearbox, and has a 0-60mph in just eight seconds and has a top speed of 149mph.
