There is a new limited-edition 911 Targa 4S that is being made under the aegis of Porsche's Exclusive program. As TopSpeed puts it, the new Targa 4S Exclusive Design Edition is being readied in time for the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix event that is being held at Nürburgring between August 12 and 14.

However, there aren't a whole lot of changes to be seen with the new Exclusive Design Edition though the most distinctive element will unmistakably be the Etna Blue paint job. That used to be the staple color for the 356 B T6 back in the 1960 and 1961.

As such, the unique blue shade covers most of the car's exteriors. That includes front spoiler, headlight washer covers, rear apron along with the Targa logo on the bar. Then there is also the White Gold Metallic for the door graphics, targa bar and the 20-inch RS Spyder wheels providing the contrast. As does the smoked LED headlights as well. 

Moving over to the interior, there is the new adaptive sports seats with 18-way adjustment along with graphite-blue leather and black anodized stainless steel door entry guards, CarScoops mentioned. The blue color theme also extends to the interior with graphite-blue leather adorning several dashboard locations as well.

Then there is the unique 911 Targa silhouette etched into the center-console armrest while 'Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur' gets mentioned in the dashboard. Those along with the Exclusive Design Edition sill plates all acts to remind users of the car's special status. There is going to be just 100 units of the car that will be made.

However, so much for all the design elements to make the Exclusive Design Edition stand out from the regular Targa 4S, there are no under-the-hood enhancement to be expected. As such, it is going to be the same 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six cylinder good for 420 hp that would be powering the special edition as well.

No pricing information is available as yet though Greg Fink of CarandDriver believes the special edition will likely cost $50,000 more than the $123,650 that the standard Targa 4S comes for.
