Watch Out for Kim Kardashian-West’s LuMee iPhone Cases

Kim Kardashian-West is taking selfies to completely new heights with new iPhone cases she designed herself. The beauty mogul and app creator announced that she is teaming up with phone case maker LuMee® to design her own iPhone cases.

Unlike your average phone case, LuMee® phone cases feature a LED lining that lights up at the push of a button. Essentially, LuMee® phone cases are designed to provide a flattering light for selfies. Some cases even come with a dimmer switch so users can adjust the illumination.

The partnership is not surprising considering how prominently the Kardashian clan featured the light-up phone cases on their reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kardashian-West's obsession with her LuMee® cases prompted her to blog about it on her official website. She writes that the secret to a good selfie "is good lighting," and that's exactly what her new phone cases offer.

In a press release, Kardashian-West expressed her excitement over her new phone cases.

"Fashion and design are two things that I'm passionate about, and I really enjoyed working with LuMee on the new cases, which resulted in some incredible new designs," she said.

According to LuMee®'s press release, Kardashian-West has worked closely with the company's design team to develop the new cases.

Kardashian-West's phone cases will come in two colors, black and white marble, and will retail for $54.95 each. At the moment, the black one is now available on LuMee®'s online store while the white marble case is up for preorder. Shipping starts this August 17. Initially, the phone cases are only available for iPhone 6 and 6S but a rep says that more sizes will be available soon.

Apart from teaming with Kardashian-West., LuMee® is also rolling out all new cases including a White Gloss case and an American Flag case. The American Flag case is now available LuMee®'s website while the White Gloss Case will roll out later this month.
