Trump Sacks Fallen Muslim Soldier's Parents Over DNC Speech

Republican-Presidential aspirant Donald Trump criticized Khizr Khan and his wife Ghazala, the parents of the fallen Muslim US Army soldier who delivered a powerful speech at the 2016 Democratic National Convention (DNC).

The spouses urged DNC attendees last July 28 to vote for Democratic-Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton while slamming Trump for his racist remarks against the Muslim community and as well as his banning Muslim immigration once elected as President.

Khan lamented that with Trump's policies, his son will not be in the US. He added that all faiths, genders and ethnicities compose the brave patriots who fought and died defending America and that Trump sacrificed nothing and no one.

In an interview with ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos last July 30 Trump answered questioning the writer of Khan's speech. He suggests that maybe the speech came from Hillary's camp and as a businessman he has made a lot of sacrifices and that he has worked very very hard.

Trump further stated that he had created thousands and thousands of jobs and built great structures which commensurate to a tremendous success. He ended by saying that he has done a lot. Following Trump's interview was the hashtag #TrumpSacrifices that trended worldwide on social networking sites.

Trump further criticized Khan's wife, Ghazala who stood quietly while Khan gave his speech about their son Army Capt. Humayun Khan who was killed in the 2004 suicide bombing in Baghdad. Trump suggests that Ghazala was silent because she was not allowed to say anything.

Among those who criticized Trump's "sacrifice" was Paul Rieckoff, CEO of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. He said that Trump's statement of comparing his "sacrifice" to those of the soldiers and their grieving families were insulting, foolish and ignorant. He nailed his point by stating that Trump never served nor had any children enlisted in the military.
