The Model S sedans and Model X SUVs that made Tesla known throughout the world are now being increased in production. However, there is a downside to this as the company is having problems in the delivery process.

This has then been considered to be a big turn off to customers.

Based on the reports of CNN, Tesla has manufactured 18,345 units in the second quarter of this year. Unfortunately, only 78 percent of those vehicles have been delivered to the customers.

Leaving the remaining 5,150 to still be in a pending status for dealers worldwide to bid.

This proves that this statistic is twice the amount of vehicles that are in transit when compared to that of the first quarter of 2016. Tesla needs to solve this problem before the year ends, or else it would reflect devastating losses on the company's stocks.

In the meantime, there are 30,000 vehicles that were built during the first half of 2016. Tesla is still optimistic about this situation as the forecasted production will skyrocket to 50,000 units before the first half of 2016 ends.

With the help of the upcoming Model 3, Tesla's production and sales will dramatically increase. This will be ready for delivery before 2017 ends.

Tesla CEO, Elcon Musk said that the company is prepared to boost the company's production from 100,000 units to 200,000 units before 2017 ends. This will be precursor to its 500,000 vehicle production mark by 2018.

This is mainly due to the high demand of the Model 3, securing 400,000 pre-order deposits amounting to $1,000 for every unit.
