BMW Deliveries Increase To 1.9 Percent For April 2016; Audi Has Steady Gains And Shares For First Quarter

BMW Group continues to experience success when it comes to their sales as the data for April 2016 shows that more deliveries have been made compared to the same month last year, while Audi has also established more shares and sales for the first quarter of this year.

It has been reported by Behind The Wheel that BMW Group delivered more than 170,000 automobiles to customers all over the world last month. It shows that there was a 1.9 percent increase as compared to last year due to this number of deliveries made. For the first four months of this year, the BMW Group sales have climbed to a total of 4.9 percent.

Most of the sales that contributed to the increase for BMW Group include the models such as X1, X3 and BMW 2 series. The sales for X1 increased to 60.6 percent while the sales for X3 increased up to 18.4 percent. BMW 2 Series increased up to 54.8 percent this year.

BMW Group Sales and Marketing chief Dr. Ian Robertson said in a statement that following the company's best-ever sales month last March, they have once again achieved a sustainable and profitable level of growth for all the product line-ups of BMW Group.

As for Audi, The Globe and Mail reported that the company established a sales-volume record last year and has carried its momentum into the first four months of this year. 450,000 vehicles were sold globally for the first three months this year and most of the sales were bought in China as one-third of the total number were from the country.

Company Chairman Rupert Stadler said that the best seller now is the Audi A4 Sedan. Audi makes up nearly 50 percent of the auto maker's sale in North America. Aside from the Audi A4 Sedan, SUVs by the car maker are also very popular such as the mid-size Q7. The Q5 and the Q3 are also highly favorable by customers. Sedans such as the A3 to A8 series are also faring well when it comes to sales.

According to other reports, the latest models of Audi have improved power, efficiency and safety technology. Drivers could also switch between classic and infotainment modes due to the virtual cockpit that these cars are equipped with.
