First up, there's Tesla's Model S, set to run on a range exceeding 300 miles. With its stylish exterior and high-tech features, Elon Musk's creation is a strong choice.

Varied news sources have shared details on the Model S's updo. The black fascia has been replaced with a grille that's similar to the Model X SUV, plus LED taillights and headlamps. The Model S's starting price comes in at $83K; however, the car's Autopilot software is pretty inviting, according to the publication.

Another EV that has been given high EPA marks for its fuel economy and a crowd favorite since coming out in 2010, the Nissan Leaf has been experienced by more than 200K customers since its release, according to ALPHR magazine.Like the Model S, the Leaf underwent some modifications such as new exterior color schemes, infotainment system, and a 30kWh battery. The Leaf also runs up to a decent 155 miles on full charge, with prices starting at $35K and customers can get it at a lower price if they go for the 24kWh-powered Leaf instead.

Next would be BMW's i3, which is now fitted with a lighter, carbon-fiber body. Dubbed as extremely efficient by car experts, fuel tests, and the driving public, it gives up to 80 miles at 100 percent charge. One of the i3's in-car features allow owners to monitor the vehicle's charging status via the BMW iRemote that works with the Apple Watch and iPhone users. The company also announced that it is set to uplift the i3's features within the year, as per the news agency.
