New Mazda CX-4 Hits The Spotlight, Features And Specs Unveiled; Europe Mulls Over The Segment

The newly crafted and built Mazda CX-4 has finally been affirmed to hit the spotlight. Moreover, the specs and the features of the prestigious new CX-4 coupe-SUV is predicted to bring about high revenues for the company but not in Europe.

It appears that the new Mazda CX-4 has received VIP acceptance in Beijing. In a post from Auto Express, Mazda's new CX-4 coupe-SUV showed its glamor, glory and strength during the Beijing Motor Show."

Moreover, in terms of concept design and stance, the new Mazda CX-4 has retained similarities with the Koeru concept along with the similar features of the Mazda 3 but it does entail a sportier look and rugged design.

In addition, Mazda says that new Mazda CX-4 and its functionality and user-friendliness are one of a kind. In terms of length and size, the segment is 4.6m long, 1.8m wide and 1.5m high. It also boasts of a front- or all-wheel drive. In terms of innovations and technology, it is ready to cater smartphone connectivity and other safety kits and upgrades.

Given the prestigious form and concept, many are wondering if the new Mazda CX-4 would run the streets and lanes of Europe. However, during the Geneva Motor Show, Kenichiro Saruwatari, vice-president, European research and development rebutted that there are still some elements to consider before the CX-4 can be up for sale in Europe.

"The car looks very sporty. Our products need to match customers' expectation. Powertrain is one of the issues. People see the image of this vehicle as sporty, so the powertrain needs to generate more. But so far we [Mazda Europe] don't have any powertrain to generate the big power," adds Saruwatari.

Stuff also unveiled that the new Mazda CX-4 has been affirmed for sale in China and profits are predetermined to be high in this region. While China gets to drive the new Mazda coupe-SUV, other continents and regions might have to wait awhile.

Saruwatari also continued on to explain about the new Mazda CX-4, "If we decide to introduce this vehicle globally, I think the requirement from each market is different, even though it is the same vehicle. The requirements in America, Europe and China are different. This takes time and workload to revise."
