China's IAT Technology Introduces Badass SUV Concept For Beijing Auto Show

China's IAT-Auto is set to introduce its take on a possible cross between the Lexus LF-NX and Dartz SUV concepts, which would be featured at the Beijing Auto Show next week. And images of the Chinese SUV online which surfaced recently seemed to resemble that of a badass mechanical transformer.

IAT-Auto may have been waiting for its turn to unveil its competitive lineup of automobiles since 2002, however, the company only came to present itself at the Beijing Auto Show about five years ago, CarScoops reported. The company had only revealed three conceptual studies namely, electric vehicles' "eTAXI", "Wu Feng II", and "Bamboo Wind".

Of the three, the compact coupe Wu Feng II was a fascinating sight at the auto industry event with its strong, gullwing-design doors. The company also stated that it can achieve a top speed of 124mph (200km/h). Definitely, something to watch out for should IAT present the model at an upcoming auto show soon.

The company has been in collaboration with noted Chinese car makers, like Beijing Auto, Changhe, Brilliance, First Auto Works, according to CarNewsChina. More recently it has designed and developed auto projects with Zhiche Auto, which is an electric-SUV newbie company.

Having checked out the posted photos of IAT-Auto's SUV concept, the automobile looks like a cross between the 2016 Batmobile (in Batman vs. Superman) and one of them big US military tanks. IAT has not dished out on its running power yet, however, the design looks well enough to carry a V10 diesel-type engine.

The vehicle also boasts an angular-type body, diamond-shape window, with huge tires at that. Compared to the Changhe Q25, IAT's SUV concept is longer and bigger plus with an added roof wing. The SUV concept also features lights from the rear to the roof.
