Ferrari's Configurator Lets Buyers Customize Own 488 Spider Design

Ferrari's configurator has already gone live, and fans of the high-end luxury brand can't wait to try the options the program offers. What's best about it is that buyers can have a glimpse of what to expect prior to getting one of the brand's latest release: the Ferrari 488 GTB Spider.

Now is the perfect chance to customize the Ferrari car model with car enthusiasts wanting to join the bevy of open-top drivers, AutoBlog reported.The program is fairly easy to use and lets anyone to choose every detail on the future Ferrari. It also creates an outlet for the creative side of the driver's personality via the virtual car configurator program.

Customers can choose to imagine and view the expected design of the Ferrari 488 GTB online such as that of a Gran Turismo Sport car, or a combination of options like various vibrant shades for every car part. So far, the software's downside would be that of the unavailability of prices upon determining which option to use.

The mechanics on the 488 GTB Spider is similar to the 488 GTB Coupe. With a 3.9 liter twin-clutch V8 engine that runs on 661 hp and up to 560 lb-ft of torque action, its 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox packs in a lot of muscle to its rear wheels, according to the news agency.

Aside from a wide range of colors from bold to metallic finishes and special hues, there's also an option to have the drop-top in a different shade than the car's exterior, according to MotorTrend. Still, customers can also select up to a 9 brake caliper color palate, exhaust system, parking sensors, and even the infamous Scuderia Ferrari shield emblem for the side.

In addition, the car's interior can also be modified to have optional full or partial leather upholstery, contrast stitching, manual or electric-powered sport seats, and carbon fiber for interior trim. What's not to like?
