Samsung plans on making it safer to deal with other drivers overtaking you with a fleet of trucks that have giant flat-screen displays on the back.

The "transparent" Safety Truck, which the tech giant started trials for over the summer, has been sent to La Plata, Argentina, for extensive testing, according to Gizmag. Samsung plans on holding trials later in the year and picked La Plata because of the large number of traffic accidents that occur while drivers overtake each other on Argentinian roads.

The goal for the truck is to give drivers behind them a clear view of the road ahead of them so that they can avoid accidents while trying to overtake others. The vehicle accomplishes this with cameras that broadcast images to a video wall made of four monitors, the Daily Mail noted.

The displays, which are positioned on the back of the truck, comes with waterproof and dustproof technology, as well as anti-glare screens that allow them to be seen in daylight no matter how bright the sun is.

Samsung said in a blog post that these monitors "give drivers behind the truck a view of what is going on ahead, even in the dark of night." The South Korean company added that the initial trial proved that the technology works and can save lives.

"The next step is to perform the corresponding tests in order to comply with the existing national protocols and obtain the necessary permits and approvals," Samsung said. "For this, Samsung is working together with safe driving NGOs and the government."

The tech giant plans on testing the Safety Truck for four months before making it available around the world, ZDNet reported.

"We are trying to make a better world with innovation in technology," Lee Sang-jik, head of Samsung Argentina, said in a statement. "We hope traffic collision declines as more and more trucks use Samsung's signage technology."
