'Back To The Future II' BMW 6-Series Up For Auction

"Back to the Future" fans still upset at not being able to get a hoverboard or self-tying Nike sneakers in 2015 still have the opportunity to get their hands on the actual BMW 633 CSI driven by Griff Tannen.

The customized vehicle, which unfortunately isn't an actual hover car, is now up for auction after being preserved for almost three decades since the release of "Back to the Future II," according to Fox News.

The 1976 BMW 6-Series has since gone through restorations to bring it back to its glory days. It comes with the Mag-Lev Hover Conversion Systems equipment, giant hood-mounted air strike, and the taillight that Griff broke when he swung and missed Marty McFly while he was on his hoverboard. Additionally, two of the tires during filming remain intact.

All of the parts were brought back to life by Jeff Chabotte, the owner of the car, with some help from his father in a process that lasted weeks, Autoblog reported.

The car has been driven 74,000 miles, and while it runs, it wouldn't be a good idea to hit 88 mph in it, Carscoops noted.

The BMW 633 CSI is available at icollector.com for $10,000, which includes molds for all the side plastic hover conversion components, the car's personal website and Facebook page, and a mold for the Citroen Taxi Light bar, another car featured in the film.
