The late "Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker's daughter sued Porsche for wrongful death, claiming that the sports car he was killed in had design defects that caused his death.

Meadow Rain Walker filed the lawsuit seeking unspecified damages for numerous defects in the Porsche Carrera GT that allegedly trapped her father when it crashed and burst into flames.

The wrongful death lawsuit clams that Porsche marketed the car as a "street-legal race car," but the car lacked the right stability control system, which it includes in other models.

The suit alleges the automaker knew the Porsche Carrera GT had flawed seat belts and "history of instability and control issues."

Driver, friend, and business associate Roger Rodas died in the Posche also. His widow Kristine Rodas sued Porsche in a similar wrongful death lawsuit. It's still pending in Los Angeles federal court.

But for the design defects Paul Walker would still be alive today, according to Meadow Rain Walker's lawsuit.

The suit details why the accident was Porsche's fault: the Carrera GT model lacked proper door reinforcement and rubber fuel cell lines that don't break in a crash. These proper safety measures would have prevented the fire upon impact.

Now 16-years-old Meadow alleges that the luxury car company cut corners in safety.

According to TMZ the police said the car was travelling 94mph (151kph) in a 45mph zone when it crashed into a lamppost. But widow Kristine Rodas alleges in her lawsuit that the car was travelling at 55mph (89kph). Meadow's lawsuit alleges that the car was travelling much slower when it spun out of control.

The lawsuit goes on to state that the safety defects in the Porsche "snapped Walker's torso back with thousands of pounds force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis, flattening his seat and trapping him in a supine position, where he remained alive until the vehicle erupted into flames one minute and 20 seconds later. Absent these defects in the Porsche Carrera GT, Paul Walker would be alive today."
