Steve McQueen's 1952 Chevy Pickup Available On eBay

Steve McQueen fans will be happy to hear that the last vehicle that he rode in before his death is available now on eBay.

The 1952 Chevrolet 3800 pickup is being auctioned on the e-commerce giant's website for one week and has a starting bid of $50,000, according to Motor Authority. The auction says that the truck includes the original California title in McQueen's name and the certificate of authenticity from the 1984 Steve McQueen Estate Sale in Las Vegas.

The listing follows a week after the legendary actor's 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo sold for a record-setting $1.95 million at the Mecum Auction in Monterey, Calif.

McQueen's wife, Barbara, said that he bought the pickup from a migrant farmer he passed on the side of the road in 1979, Fox News reported.

He reportedly used the truck to go on camping trips, but it is more famous for being used to travel from his home to Ventura County Airport, then to El Paso, Tex. and then to a Mexican clinic to have a tumor removed.

The trip took place on Nov. 3, 1980, just several days before McQueen's death, and the Reverend Billy Graham accompanied him on his journey, the eBay listing says, RoadandTrack.com reported.

"According to Graham, McQueen peppered him with questions of the afterlife on this 'last ride,'" the listing reads. "When they arrived at the airport, Graham read a number of passages of Scripture and they prayed several times. After 'Amen,' Graham instinctively handed over his Bible to McQueen, which became his proudest possession. He was clutching the Bible when he passed away a few days later. As Graham turned to leave, McQueen proclaimed, 'I'll see you in heaven!'"

Features of the truck include a 235 cu Loadmaster six-cylinder engine, four-speed manual transmission and a custom aluminum "Dust Tite" camper in the bed, Fox News reported.

The auction ends on Monday, Aug. 24, and the owner says that the proceeds will be donated to Boys Republic, the organization for troubled youth in Chino Hills, Calif. that McQueen went to and supported throughout his life.
