Tesla's Creepy 'Solid Metal Snake' Charger Fuels Model S On It's Own (VIDEO)

Tesla Motors fans can finally get a glimpse of the automatic charger for the Model S that CEO Elon Musk has been talking about.

The electric car maker has posted a video on Twitter of the prototype in action, according to The Verge, and the creepy invention will remind you of something straight out of a science fiction movie. Resembling a "solid metal snake," the charger twists itself in a very calculated way to make a connection with the electric sedan.

Musk first revealed in December that Tesla was working on an automatic charger that could move on its own, extending from the wall to connect to a Model S.

"Btw, we are actually working on a charger that automatically moves out from the wall & connects like a solid metal snake. For realz," he tweeted on Dec. 31.

Musk has yet to reveal if drivers would be able to use the charger at their homes or at Supercharging stations.

The charger in the video shows its ability to connect to the Model S without any help from a human, TechCrunch reported.

Check out the crazy-looking charger in action in the video below.
