Lamborghini Aventador Swallowed Up by Fire During Test Drive, $400,000 Car Turned to Ashes

A brand new Lamborghini Aventador worth 376,000 was swallowed up by a fire during a test drive on Sunday on California Route 73 South.

Jason Schultz, a venture capitalist, took the car for a test drive on Sunday. As the car was running along Highway 73 in San Joanquin Hills, CA., Schultz noticed that the engine began to smoke. The driver pulled over and escaped safely before it bursts of flames. Luckily, Schultz was not harmed.

The cause of the fire has not been reported yet, according to Jalopnik.com.

Aventador is one of the most elite sports car in the market. The Italy-based car company said Aventador can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 217mph (349km/h).
