Mercedes-Benz Is About to Introduce a GLC Coupe

On the heels of the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz GLE coupe and SUV comes this, the first sketch of the GLC coupe.

What is the GLC coupe? It's purported to be Mercedes-Benz's competitor to the BMW X4 and its ilk, following BMW's sloped-roof strategy for hatchback-like supplements to traditional SUVs. It was shown today at the company's annual meeting in Berlin.

The GLC coupe will debut around the time of the replacement for the GLK, the GLC, and will likely feature four- and six-cylinder engines. A variant that features the 4.0-liter biturbo V-8, possibly called Mercedes-AMG GLC63 coupe, satisfies our enthusiast cravings.

According to one source, the GLC coupe could be launched as early as 2015.
