This Video Shows the Tesla Model X Nearly Uncovered

Ah, the wonders of YouTube: User-generated spy shots of near-production models.

Here, we have the closest view—apart from a test track run—of the much-anticipated Tesla Model X, the sport-ute that Tesla has been promising us and showing for some time now in concept form. It features much of the same styling cues of the Model S, made appropriate for the larger body style. We like the prototype's suicide doors, and we're curious about its performance, given its silent nature. This spot supposedly occurred near Palo Alto, Calif., not far from Tesla's Fremont factory.

There are plenty of orders on the books for the Model X, although the timetable for production is still up in the air.

What do you think of the taller Tesla, based on this video?
