2015 New York Auto Show: Three Stylish SUVs and Two Hatchbacks Are Confirmed to Bow

Without a healthy contingent of hatchbacks and sport-utility vehicles, what would a modern auto show be?

Ahead of the New York auto show the first week of April, these are three stylish SUVs and two hatchbacks that are confirmed to bow in the Big Apple:

Land Rover Range Rover Sport HST

Just announced, Land Rover will bring the Range Rover Sport HST to headline its New York auto show. The 375-hp supercharged sport-utility vehicle is a more powerful version of the midsize Range Rover, and will slot in among gasoline and diesel-powered variants.

Chevrolet Spark

Little is known beyond the sketch above, pertaining to the future of the Chevrolet Spark. From the looks of it, the next production Spark will retain the five-door-in-three shape of the current model, while toning down the oversized styling.

Scion iM

Lacking in new product offerings, Scion is bringing two models to New York: the auto show that launched the brand 13 years ago. The iM is the production version of the concept of the same name that debuted in bright blue at the Los Angeles auto show late last year.

Mitsubishi Outlander

With the hope of brand reinvigoration looming large for Mitsubishi, the brand will unveil the 2016 Outlander sport-utility vehicle, which is shown in a rendering here. This isn't the first time we've heard a renewal story from Mitsubishi, so we'll believe the Outlander when we see it.

GMC Terrain and Terrain Denali

The time has come to replace the veritable GMC Terrain, and the reveal is set to occur in New York. No details have yet been revealed about the compact/midsize SUV's successor. The Terrain currently offers either a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine or a 3.6-liter V-6. A replacement for the similar Chevrolet Equinox can't be far behind.

The excitement for the New York auto show begins next week, and Auto World News will be live and on the ground with full coverage.
