2016 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Preview: 2015 Geneva Motor Show

Last week Land Rover showed us the headlights of its new 2016 Range Rover Evoque. Now we have some specs to get fans excited before its big unveiling during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show next month.

What is it?

Already the fastest selling Land Rover ever, the 2016 Range Rover Evoque receives a number of updates inside and out that should keep fans happy. The 2016 will be the first Land Rover vehicle ever to be designated as an "E-Capability" variant. The most efficient vehicles will come with a blue "Evoque" badge, applied to the eD4 109g/km coupe and the five door 113g/km front-wheel drive options.

What's new or changed?

Interior changes include new door casings, new infotainment system, accessed through an eight-inch touchscreen and new seats. New color options and materials are also available like Vintage Tan, Dark Cherry and Lunar Ice.

Exterior designs have been enhanced to include an updated bumper, two new grille designs and new all-LED headlamps.

The engine has been upgrade to a new all-aluminum Ingenium diesel engine. The 147 hp version will return 68 mpg for fuel economy, which is an 18 percent increase in fuel efficiency over previous diesel engine options available for past Evoques.

Can I buy it yet?

The 2016 Evoque is not available for purchase. Pricing has not been announced yet, though we expect it to be on par where pricing is for the current vehicle.

Auto World News will be on the ground and covering the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show. Stay with us this through the show for up-to-the-minute coverage of all the action in Switzerland, and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
