Mercedes-Benz has priced the Maybach Pullman S-Class at $570,000 ahead of showcasing the 21.5-foot sedan at next month's Geneva auto show.

The new Maybach, which follows an S-Class model with extended wheelbase that launched last year, will be available in early 2016, Bloomberg reported. It runs on a V-12 engine generating 530 horsepower or a 4.6-liter V-8.

The luxurious Pullman, which offers 4 inches more headroom compared with the standard S-Class, is built to accommodate two passengers who can ride opposite one another, while two more seats face backward and a chauffeur takes the wheel.

At 21.5 feet long, the Pullman is a foot and a half longer than the Rolls-Royce Phantom, Jalopnik noted. Its executive seats can recline up to 43.5 degrees, while the floor space gives passengers "enough legroom to wear stilts," according to Jalopnik.

When outfitted with pricey options, the Pullman can be the most expensive sedan in the world, costing around $1 million if customers spring for armor plating and other extras.

The Pullman has plenty of luxury even in the standard trim, featuring an 18.5-inch retractable screen and a partition window dividing the passengers from the driver's seat that can turn opaque on command.

"Quite apart from providing stately and stylish seating for high-ranking passengers in the comfort and spaciousness for which it is famed, the new Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is of course the embodiment of exclusivity at its highest level," said Daimler board member Ola Källenius, as quoted by CarScoops. "One can sense the significance and greatness of it in every detail."

Shuttered in 2012 due to disappointing sales, Maybach has been revived as part of the Daimler group to be known as Mercedes-Maybach. The newly formed sub-brand aims eventually to offer a full lineup of vehicles.

Daimler launched the Mercedes-Maybach S600 sedan last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The sub-brand's flagship model starts at $190,275 with shipping.
