RM Auctions to Offer Andrews Classic Car Collection This Spring

RM Auctions is teaming up with Paul and Chris Andrews to handle the sale of 75 vehicles from the Andrews collection. The father and son have collected a number of different vehicles over the years, ranging from 1980s sports cars to vintage Duesenbergs.

In total, the Andrews have over 100 vehicles, all of which are in incredible shape. The automobiles are being sold with no reserve, though each auction item will likely earn a pretty penny.

Rare cars like a 1935 Duesenberg Model SJ Town Car, a 1963 Shelby 289 Competition Cobra and 1953 Mercury M100 pickup truck are just a few of the cars that will be sold this spring.

So why are the cars up for sale? They want to make the collection more manageable.

"We want to get down to a smaller number of cars - perhaps 15 to 20 - that we very much enjoy driving and that we can use on events with the family. There are a number of events we'd still like to try overseas and here in the United States, and in order to do that, we need to focus on a more manageable collection," said Chris Andrews to RM Auctions.

The auction is set to take place on Saturday, May 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Preview days will be held on Thursday, April 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and May 1 at 10:00 am to 6:00 p.m. A reception will be held later on in the day on May 1 at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A $150 admission fee gets two people into the preview, and a bidder registration fee of $300 includes catalogue, admits two to the preview, auction and reception.

Stay tuned to find out how much all of the vehicles go for this May.
