Scion is launcing a limited-edition version of the 2015 Scion tC Release Series 9.0 that combines orange and black for an eye-catching color dynamic.

The automaker will build just 2,000 of the special two-toned models, which are available at dealerships.

The Release Series 9.0 lineup is equipped with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission, which listing prices of $23,190 and $24,340, respectively.

In comparison, the 2014 Scion tC coupe starts at $19,980 with the manual transmission and $20,980 when equipped with the automatic. Its estimated mileage rating is 23 miles per gallon in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

The unique exterior in Magma Orange and Sleek Black is reflected inside the Scion model as well, with orange accenting the interior in custom stitching and painted detailing as well as the front seat belts.

"This two-toned tC lets Scion fans have an everyday driver that looks like it's straight out of a car show," said Scion vice president Doug Murtha.

The model features 18-inch alloy wheels with a black finish that is also applied to the door handles.

Another intriguing touch is the blacked-out Scion badge on the front, which is a first for the brand.

"The Release Series 9.0 vehicles target drivers who feel at home both on the show floor and the open road," Scion described in a statement. "The unique exterior features a center exhaust, Cartel Customs-designed aero kit and eye-catching alloy wheels and matching caps."

Scion is hoping that this special-edition coupe will be enough to take eyes off the Honda Civic and Kia Forte, but we'll have to wait and see.
