Detroit 2015: Four Pickup Trucks That Will Impress

Companies from all over the world will gather next week for the North American International Auto Show, as 40 new or refreshed cars and trucks will be on hand.

We're just as excited as you are to see what companies have in store, but in the meantime, here are four trucks we are looking forward to checking out during one of the biggest auto shows of the year.

1. 2016 Toyota Tacoma

A revamped Tacoma midsized pickup has been confirmed for Detroit, which will look to build off its popular predecessor sales success in the U.S. So far the only specs confirmed is an updated exterior and more fuel-efficient 4 and 6-cylinder engines, both of which could make the truck a must see in Detroit.

2. Nissan Titan

The new Titan will compete for sales againstthe likes of the Ford F-150, Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado. The one specification we know that will make the Titan a big player for Nissan is its optional torque-rich Cummins 5.0-liter V-8 diesel engine.

3. 2016 Ram 1500

The 1500 pickup is one of the most popular vehicles in the U.S., and Ram is supposedly ready to unveil a refurbished 2016 Ram 1500 pickup at the auto show. The automaker hasn't said a whole lot about the truck other than this Dec. 30 tweet.

4. Ford F-150 Raptor

(Expect the new model to look a little bit different from this version. Photo : Ford)

We expect big things from Ford at the Detroit Auto Show, and one of the biggest could be the next-gen F-150 SVT Raptor. Ford hasn't released a whole lot about its new truck, but those visiting the Motor City won't want to miss checking out this lightweight aluminum-bodied beast.

Press preview days for the auto show are on Jan. 12 and 13 at the Cobo Center. The show will be open to the public Jan. 17 to 25.
