Recall Alert: 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder

The first examples of the ultra-exclusive 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid supercar have barely hit the streets, and the manufacturer is issuing a precautionary recall.

The problem

According to Bloomberg, the recall is related to "faulty" chassis components. The problem was discovered by the manufacturer and is not related to consumer complaints. This marks the second recall for 918 Spyder models this year.

The fix

No details were released to the public about the fix, although it is expected to take two days. (Will owners receive a loaner 918 Spyder in the interim?)

Models affected

205—a substantial amount of the 918-unit run of the 918 Spyder.
