Lamborghini Smartphone: 88 Tauri Priced at $6,000 (PHOTOS)

When you hear the word "Lamborghini" usually you think of expensive cars. Well there's a new product coming from the company that will still set your wallet back only it doesn't have an engine.

The 88 Tauri is a new smartphone from the Tonino Lamborghini Group that will be available for purchase for $6,000, according to a report by hi-tech.mail.ru.

Tonino Lamborghini mainly focuses on luxury product like ccessories and watches. The name comes from its founder, who is also the son of the late Ferruccio Lamborghini, who started the car company.

Just 1,947 88 Tauri devices will be made, so technically the phone will be exclusive, though not many people hae $6,000 laying around to spend on phones.

The amount of phones that will be made available for purchase was decided on to honor the founder's birth year, according to the report.

For 6K you would think the phone comes with neat gadgets not available for devices like the iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy S5, but it's basically in line with technology already available on other phones.

The device comes with a 5-inch HD display and a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 64GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. The standard 3,400mAh battery should deliver 1,000 hours of life on standby, and the device will get its power from Android 4.4 KitKat.

The 20-megapixel camera is pretty sweet, along with a front-facing 8-megapixel camera. Devices are available in real leather, (in black, blue, red, orange or brown) and steel (in black, gold or silver) complete with hand-embroidered stitches.

Sales don't begin until late December, so if you're thinking of getting one as a gift it probably won't come in time.
