Scion Unveils Sporty iM Concept To Debut at LA Auto Show

Scion has revealed its new iM Concept ahead of its debut planned for Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Built in the style of European touring cars, the five-door compact hatchback matches sporty styling with geometric grille inserts. Its exterior comes in an "Incrediblue" paint complemented by matte silver and gunmetal accents.

The iM Concept features "wide aerodynamics and a lower ride height" to give it a road-ready appearance, an influence also seen in its 19-inch alloy wheels and sport performance tires.

The hatchback is aimed toward younger consumers, who are looking for unique yet comfortable rides to take them on adventures, according to Scion.

"The tastes of today's younger buyers have evolved. They want a car that provides excitement and individuality, as well as the comfort, technology and reliability that Scion offers," Scion Vice President Doug Murtha said in a statement. "The iM Concept combines sleek styling with the versatility of a modern hatchback to catch the eye of Scion customers. Stay tuned for more on how we will bring this vision to the road."
