Despite the fact that the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C were just introduced in September, a brand new iPhone could be released as early as May 2014, according to DigiTimes.
Digitimes' sources claim that Apple is supposedly "rumored to be planning a larger size iPhone for May 2014, using a 20nm processor manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company."
Apple has yet to comment on the latest rumor but it wouldn't be too hard to believe considering other sites have mentioned an early-release date for Apple's next smartphone since October. Release dates ranging from April through August have all been mentioned, but Apple has not confirmed anything as of yet.
Another popular rumor going around regarding the iPhone 6 is that it will be close to 5-inches to compete with similar devices like the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Apple is supposedly testing two different sized screens for the iPhone 6, according to DisplaySearch analyst David Hsieh. The analyst claims that Apple is testing a 4.7-inch device with 720x1280 resolution, and a massive 5.7-inch display with HD 1080p resolution.
While over 5-inches isn't as big as a tablet, like the Galaxy Note 3, it's still pretty big compared to previous iPhone devices.
Apple was also granted two new patents this month for technology that most experts think could make the iPhone 6 one of the most anticipated smartphones of all-time.
The patents included face detection and recognition, and a new camera feature that would let users refocus pictures after they've already been taken, according to 9to5Mac.
Other features that have been mentioned includes: 64-bit A7 processer, and a 128 GB option.
The base price for the iPhone 6 has not been confirmed yet by Apple, but Susquehanna International Group Analyst Chris Caso believes it could go for around $199.
