Taylor Swift performed with British and rock 'n' roll royalty Tuesday night for a charity gala at Kensington Palace.

The 23-year-old songstress came onstage with Prince William and Jon Bon Jovi to perform the classic "Livin' on a Prayer," PEOPLE reported.

Swift led the charity spectacular and sang her hits "I Knew You Were Trouble," "Love Story" and "Fifteen," according to MTV.

Before singing "Love Story," which takes the Romeo and Juliet story as its base, Swift noted, "This has reference to palaces, princes and princesses and it is very strange that I end up playing it in a palace."

The Winter Whites Gala also brought Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth and Michelle Dockery from "Downton Abbey" to help William raise money and awareness for Centrepoint, his youth homelessness charity.

Singer James Blunt and rapper Tinie Tempah were featured as well. Princess Kate missed her husband's performance since she was taking care of the royal baby, Prince George, at home.

"It's positively magical here," Swift told reporters at the gala. "There are fairy lights and there is fake snow falling from the sky and everything is just gorgeous. I am just very lucky to be here."

The "State of Grace" singer had never performed in a palace before.

"I am so excited. I don't think I have ever played in a palace before," Swift said. "So it will be really wonderful. This evening is so special ... it is for a charity. That as well as being very important to Prince William is also very important to me."

Bon Jovi was honored at the party for his work with the Soul Foundation.

"What's important for me is to help break the cycle that leads to poverty," he told reporters before the show. "And to be invited to highlight it in such illustrious surroundings couldn't be better."

The around 600 guests sang along when Bon Jovi closed the night with "Livin' on a Prayer" with Swift and William on either side of the rocker.
