Xbox Project Scorpio, Microsoft's highly anticipated console, will finally come out of the darkness and into the light, into gamers who have been patiently waiting for details about this so-called powerful console. Also, it will be Eurogamer's Digital Foundry who will give out the sought-after info.
In a Twitter post on April 4, Digital Foundry confirmed that indeed they will have an exclusive Xbox Scorpio reveal on Thursday, April 6, at 6 am PT, 2 pm UK, and 9 am ET. And this will appear on Eurogamer.

Now, why not Microsoft to host the reveal? It is unclear why Microsoft is allowing a third party to host the console's reveal when they could do it themselves. But it could be that since Digital Foundry specializes in hardware and performance breakdowns, their Xbox Project Scorpio unveiling has something to do with the console's power or its specs.
Note that, however, neither Microsoft nor Digital Foundry said what exactly will be revealed. So, up to now, these are mere speculations. But it will be over tomorrow. This might just be a long shot, but it could be that Microsoft wants to display the Xbox Project Scorpio's confidence in its power. A bold move, isn't it?
What we know so far about the highly anticipated 4K console is that it will be more powerful than its biggest competition, PlayStation 4 Pro. According to Microsoft, the GPU of the Xbox Project Scorpio will run at 6 teraflops and is to have an 8-core CPU.
Also, the company plans to upgrade the 8GB of DDR3 RAM/32MB of ESRAM to 12GB of GDDR5 for the Scorpio. Plus, we will soon find out also whether or not the 4K console will house AMD's latest Ryzen chips and how much power it really has. But judging from this, it seems the Scorpio is on another level compared with the PlayStation 4 Pro.
Although much like it, there will be no exclusive games for the Scorpio. It will run any game as those running on both the Xbox One S and Xbox One.
With only a night away from the reveal of probably the most powerful console, many will surely tune in for Microsoft's Xbox Project Scorpio. The 4K console might also be part of the company's E3 2017 this June. So stay tuned.
