Funimation recently confirmed that Attack on Titan Season 2 would be released on April 1. The new season will feature new monsters and better fighting scenes. The anticipation and excitement surrounding the new season are at an all-time high.

A lot of fans were able to witness the second season's trailer last year. But no further details were provided beside that trailer. Looking back at the trailer, it shows that many new Titans will appear in the upcoming season. The most significant Titan to be revealed is the hairy Beast Titan.

According to Inquisitr, since Attack on Titan Season 2 would follow its manga counterpart, it is relatively easy to predict how the upcoming season would begin and where it will end. When Season 1 ended, the cliffhanger had the Titans being discovered by Survey Corps inside the walls. With that, there is a high chance that the upcoming season would begin where the first season left off.

In the AoT manga, the revelation ended by Survey Corps venturing outside the safety of the walls once again. After getting the report about another breach in Wall Rose, the anime's heroes will be facing the Beast Titan, their biggest and most formidable threat so far.

The teasers of the upcoming season feature the Beast Titan looking gorgeous. In the manga, the Beast Titan is considered the most dangerous opponent that the anime's heroes have faced so far. This is due to the character's high intelligence and the capability to communicate, and even command other Titans. The battle against the Beast Titan will usher in the franchise's most intense Titan vs. Titan fight ever, showing a match between Eren's Rogue Titan and the Armored Titan.

In addition, as preparation for the release of Attack of Titan Season 2, several of Alamo Drafthouse theaters across the U.S. will be showing Guren no Yumiya and Jiyuu no Tsubasa, a movie compilations of the anime's Season 1's first and second halves, on March 28 and 29. The teaser for Season 2 would also be shown at the end of Jiyuu no Tsubasa. The 19 cinemas that would show the hit anime's movie compilations are New Jersey,  Texas, New York, Washington DC, Virginia, Colorado, Arizona, Nebraska, Hawaii, California, and Missouri.
