Aston Martin revealed the first details of its most uncompromising Vantage ever: the Vantage GT3 special edition.

Production will be limited to just 100 models for the new Vantage, which combines all of Aston Martin's learning from past sports cars around the globe to make it most performance focused vehicle yet.

The new vehicle comes equipped with a new iteration of the automaker's 6.0-liter V12 engine, which is capable of creating 600 PS1, according to the automaker.

"Motorsport is in our blood at Aston Martin," said Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer, according to a company release. "The Vantage is the car we campaign in top level sports car racing around the world and so it seems only fitting that we offer an exclusive, limited edition Vantage that expertly fuses our motorsport know-how with our road car prowess."

The GT3-inspired vehicle is wider and lower than any of its predecessors and weighs 220 pounds less than a standard V12 Vantage S. In order to get the car to reach 3,450 pounds, engineers created new flared carbon fiber front wings, carbon-fiber door casings, a lithium ion race-derived battery and optional weight-saving polycarbonate rear window and rear quarter windows.

A broader front and rear brings a composed cornering thanks to a reduced lateral load transfer. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires can be found under the car to provide even more assured handling.

"The Vantage GT3 special edition is an uncompromising example of our design and engineering expertise and I'm sure the 100 owners who secure one of these cars will savour every second behind the wheel whether on the road or on the track," said Palmer.

The new GT3-derived Vantage has been designed and engineered exclusively at Aston Martin's Gaydon Headquarters in Warwickshire, England.

The Vantage GT3 special edition is scheduled to make its public debut on March 3 at the 85th Geneva International Motor Show (Hall 5, Stand 5253). The first customer deliveries will take place in the third quarter of 2015.
