Amazon has unveiled a new subscription service which will allow customers to read as much as they want from its library of over 600,000 e-books.
Subscribers to the Kindle Unlimited service can read the e-books on Amazon's Kindle reader or any other device that supports the Kindle app, according to Reuters.
Books available to customers include best-sellers like "The Hunger Games," "Life of Pi," and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid."
Subscriptions cost $9.99 per month.
"You can easily switch between reading and listening to a book, allowing the story to continue even when your eyes are busy," said Russ Grandinetti, a Kindle senior vice president, said in a statement released by Amazon, according to The New York Times.
Grandinetti added that Kindle Unlimited was "by far the most cost-effective way to enjoy audiobooks and e-books together."
Subscribers will also have access to thousands of audio books, according to Reuters.
The service was created to compete with a number of similar options available, including Oyster, which chargers subscribers a $9.95 per month fee for unlimited access to over 500,000 titles.
Some books won't be available on Kindle Unlimited just yet, like Laura Hillenbrand's "Unbroken" or Veronica Roth's "Divergent."
Books that can be downloaded for free as part of the subscription have an orange "Kindle Unlimited" icon under the title, along with a $0.00 price tag.
Books published by HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster, for example, are not offered yet as well.
