A judge has ordered Chris Brown to spend three months in rehab after seeing a report that said another facility discharged the singer after he threw a rock through his mother's car window, according to the Associated Press.
Superior Court Judge James Brandlin also added terms for Brown's stay over the next couple of months. The R&B singer has to perform at least 24 hours of community service a week and has to submit to drug testing while dealing with anger management issues.
Brown and his attorney agreed to the rules, which were suggested by probation officials overseeing Brown's 2009 sentence for beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown supposedly threw a rock through his mother's car window on Nov. 10 after a joint counseling session. The dispute started after his mother suggested the singer remain in treatment, according to a letter submitted by the rehab facility.
"Mr. Brown proceeded to walk outside and pick up a rock and threw it through his mother's car window and it shattered," the letter reads. Brown was discharged since he had signed a contract promising to refrain from violence while being treated.
The singer checked into rehab for anger management treatment Oct. 29, just a few days after he was busted in Washington, D.C., after being accused of punching a man who tried getting a picture with Brown.
Brown is due to appear in a Washington, D.C., court on Nov. 25. Brandlin has allowed the singer to travel for the hearing.
Brown's probation report reads that the singer wants treatment for his anger management issues and is willing to do whatever it takes. He was also "depressed" after being told to re-do 1,000 hours of community service earlier this year after a hit-and-run incident.
Prosecutors didn't believe Brown completed his sentence as instructed. Brown has performed 20 hours so far, according to the report. One officer was worried that Brown wouldn't complete his sentence if not asked to do at least 24-25 hours of work per week.
The singer only spoke once while in court this week when he acknowledge and agreed to the terms given by the judge.
