The Los Angeles Auto Show has announced some highlights of the upcoming event that include major exhibitors and specialty vehicles.

Exhibitors, which include Airstream and VIA Motors, will showcase the latest features in the auto market, the show press release said.

Scheduled for Nov. 22 to Dec. 1, the show will include its Aftermarket Hall, where attendees will be able to "discover and purchase virtually anything imaginable associated with cars, trucks, vans and SUVs," said the press release.

"No other consumer car show in North America features specialty vehicle and accessory exhibitors like Los Angeles, making it the place to see and experience the hottest offerings in custom design, accessories and performance."

Airstream and VIA Motors will both showcase debuts. "Silver bullet" trailer manufacturer Airstream will introduce its new luxury touring coach Interstate model with "Best in Class" Mercedes-Benz features and enhancements. VIA Motors will showcase a special electric car that will be unveiled at a press conference on Nov. 21.

Exhibitors will also show off customization techniques. Commemorating its 60th anniversary of customizing cars, Galpin Auto Sports will feature some of the iconic builds from the company's years in business.

Examples will include a model of Dick Harding's famous Galpin-sponsored Ford Econoline "Back-Up Pick-up"; a 1934 Ford Custom named "Iron Orchid"; the "Mach IV" four-engine Mustang built by legendary U.S. drag racer, Gary Weckesser; a Wide Body Shelby GT 500 and a life-sized Ford F250 Super Duty Tonka Truck, according to the press release.

Known for small car customization, Madness Autoworks will display a custom FIAT built for Nigel Olsson, the English rock drummer best known as the drummer for Elton John. The company will also feature a MADNESS Edition FIAT 500 ABARTH that raced in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge.

Besides debuts and customization vehicles, the show will include experts in electronics and technology and tuners and performance. Al & Ed's Autosound will display the latest trends in mobile technology, including hands-free communication, iPad integration, GPA navigation and safety systems.
