Miley Cyrus Performs Stripped-Down A Cappella Version of 'We Can't Stop' with The Roots (VIDEO)

Miley Cyrus showed off her voice instead of her twerking antics with an a cappella version of "We Can't Stop," performed with The Roots on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" Tuesday night.

The former Disney darling made waves for her now-infamous MTV VMA Awards performance in late August and her recent Rolling Stone interview. She appeared Tuesday night wearing just a white shirt and suspenders, but while singing with The Roots, only her throaty vocals were on display.

"Turns out, the only thing needed to make the song listenable was getting rid of the autotune, singing it a cappella and letting Questlove perform the 'It's our party, we can do what we want' line," a Jezebel post noted.

As Jezebel points out, the whole thing looks like a modern take on "The Brady Bunch" and shows that Cyrus, who is known for her sexy outfits, actually has serious pipes.

The singer/actress recently hosted and performed on "Saturday Night Live."

"I think [SNL] was a good time for me to show people ... that I don't just twerk and lick stuff," Cyrus told Fallon. "I can sing and I can act a little bit too."

Cyrus filled the hour of the late-night show, joining Fallon for an interview and performing "Wrecking Ball," the second single off her latest record.

This week has been a big one for Cyrus, who officially released her fourth album, "Bangerz," on Tuesday. The record was No. 1 on iTunes Wednesday afternoon, while tracks "Wrecking Ball," "Adore You" and "We Can't Stop" were all in the top 10 singles.

On the album, Cyrus collaborates with Britney Spears and Ludacris, raps and takes on country, dance and ballad styles in turn. The 13-track record, which is also available in a deluxe version with 16 songs, has been hailed by some critics.

The AV Club noted Cyrus' "youthful exuberance" and called the album a "solid success," while Billboard named it "the most fiercely individual" pop record of the year.
