General Motors announced this week that the redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Camaro convertible will be unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
Chevrolet's new Camaro debuted at the 2013 New York Auto Show back in April.
"Camaro has always been associated with iconic design, high performance and driving fun, and we are particularly proud of the new coupe and convertible models," said Dr. Thomas Sedran, President and Managing Director, Chevrolet Europe, in a press statement.
This year's Frankfurt Auto Show will be the first that GM unveils a redesigned convertible according to a company press release.
The vehicle is equipped with a 6.2L V8 engine which is mated to a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission.
GM said that the new model is the most "significant redesign" since the introduction of the fifth-generation Camaro concept back in 2006.
"They incorporate new high-tech features that add extra convenience and give customers even more value for their money," Sedran said.
Chevrolet announced a number of features the Camaro will come with including: new MyLink connected radio, an optional integrated navigation system, and standard rearview camera.
The MyLink connected radio allows drivers and occupants to open personal playlists, photos, and phone contacts through compatible smartphones.
The new convertible will be sold for a base price of $31,990, including a $995 destination charge. The 2013 model is sold for $31,560, including a $990 destination fee.
