The new 2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4S features powerful specs of a supercar level. The new model also comes with a classy design and comfortable features for your daily city commuter.
The new 2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4S boasts of its classy design with sparkling GT Silver body accentuated by a matte-silver Targa bar. It also comes with 20-inch Carrera S wheels in silver paint and wraparound rear glass.

The design further leveled up with red accents. The new Targa now features a bold red fabric roof and red brake calipers. Adding glitz is a full-width strip of red LED taillamps.
With regard to performance, the 2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4S has twin-turbocharged 9A2 3,0-liter flat-six similar with Carrera S and 4S models. The engine of the new Targa can deliver 420 hp at 6,500 rpm and369 lb-ft of torque.
In terms of weight, the 2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4S appears to be the heaviest Carrera at 3687 pounds. This means that the new Targa weighs 57 pounds more than the 2014 Targa 4S PDK.
Despite the heavier weight, Caranddriver notes that the new Targa made an impressive acceleration rate of only 3.3 seconds from 0 to 60 mph via Targa's standard all-wheel drive system. Whereas from 0 to 100 mph, the acceleration rate is at 8.1 seconds.
The new 2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4S now has a similar cloth to the original model, not the glass sunroof now found in 911 Carrera. The cloth top can easily be controlled from the driver's seat.
Porsche made the stowing of the new 911 Targa easier by placing controls at the driver's seat. Although the actual stowing mechanism is a complex process, it only takes not more than 20 seconds to turn into a complete stow. However, the red cloth roof can only be lowered or raised when the car is at a complete stop.
Meanwhile, MotorTrend notes that the new Targa is an impressive car with its remarkable performance. It combines the dual function of a city commuter and the supercar level.
The 2017 Porsche 911 Targa 4S also performs well in its sport modes: Sport mode and sport+ mode. The latter is the more aggressive mode.
