"Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands," the open world tactical shooter video game from Ubisoft Paris is the tenth title in the "Tom Clancy Ghost Recon" franchise. The game was released last Tuesday, March 7, but several gamers have already discovered a way to retrieve the MSR, the best sniper rifle in Ghost Recon Wildlands.

According to PC Gamer, players who have just started exploring the open world setting of "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" can retrieve the weapon as soon as they start playing. While enjoying the game without the powerful MSR sniper rifle is possible, owning the weapon will definitely make things easier for players.

"Ghost Recon Wildlands" does give gamers weapons via early story-related game missions, but the MSR is perfect for picking off enemy soldiers from a distance. To get the MSR, players must open the in-game map and select the Montuyoc region. Input a way point somewhere near the far western side of Montuyoc, get in a car, and being your drive.

Do take note that by staying on the road, you can keep most enemy factions off of your back. This is extremely helpful as Montuyoc's security rating is a whopping five skulls. Keep checking your map as you drive, and if your path takes you through a "hot portion" of the map, make an off-road detour. A lot of the vehicles in "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands" are capable of driving up steep inclines and over boulders.

While driving previously darkened portions of the map will light up to reveal nearby points of interest. This will also unlock fast travel checkpoints, which you can use when you accidentally start a firefight. As you respawn, you can easily fast travel back to your destination.

As you drive west, you will eventually reach Araca Village, south of which is the Choza Padre Mine, your destination. But take care not to drive in without warning. Try to be stealthy because it will be harder to face a ton of enemy soldiers.

Outside the mines are four soldiers. Make sure to take out the sniper positioned on the westernmost building. Approach the mine slowly, and use silenced weapons on the soldiers. However, you can also take this moment to practice sync shots with friends or your AI teammates. After eliminating the enemies, head to the eastern section of the area and locate the entrance to the mine.

Once inside the mine, head straight, then take the first path left, per Tank War Room. Then follow the corridor all the way to the end, where the large room with the MSR Sniper Rifle is located. Take the MSR Sniper Rifle from the Weapon Case, then exit the Choza Padre Mine. A handful could attack you, but it will be fairly easy to defeat them.
