One Piece Enters A New Arc Entitled "Marine Supernova Arc"

Today, One Piece announced that the anime series would begin a new arc called "Marine Supernova Arc" on March 19th. Unfortunately, the said upcoming arc is going to be filler episodes similar to what Bleach and Naruto have initiated over the past years. The new filler-only storyline is declared to introduced Marine Soldiers.

The "Marine Supernova Arc" will center on Luffy and the rest of party in an adventure to save Sanji. The team comes across with Marine Soldiers in search of food when the crew runs out during their adventures. Weekly Shonen Jump detailed that the team sneaks out to a Marine base to steal some supplies they needed for their journey. Luffy was caught by surprised and was stopped by three new Marine Soldiers from the Aokiji's crew.

One Piece creative directors also released key visuals for the upcoming "Marine Supernova Arc." The image portrays Luffy with his usual iconic straw hat costume facing three strong and highly skilled Marine Soldiers. But, theories suggest that it is not going to be a tough opponent for Luffy and the rest of the gang based on the poster given.

The key visuals also shared insights into the future characters for One Piece "Marine Supernova Arc." The soldier's names are Grant, Bonamu, and Sappa. Their vice-admiral is named as Prody. So far, these are the information reveal for the anime series new filler arc. Regarding their skills and capabilities, soon will be announced.

According to Comicbook, One Piece anime series has released over 700 episodes, and only 15% of these episodes are fillers. With the introduction of the new arc, this projectile is expected to increase since the anime will take on more filler-only storyline starting March 19th.
