The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is one of the most highly anticipated off-roading vehicle and for good reasons. This is the first redesign of the Wrangler in over a decade so expect an updated look like no other. Spy shots have revealed some of its notable changes and car enthusiasts became even more excited to find out more about it.

According to Forbes, it is believed that the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will retain the latest generation's basic dimensions and will continue to be offered in either two-door or four-door versions. It will also retain its body-on-frame construction and ride on a solid front and rear axles. However, the 2018 Wrangler will make use of aluminum to lessen weight and increase performance and fuel efficiency.

The spy shots indicate that it will continue to have its basic front end treatment which retains Jeep's seven-slot grille. Updated look doesn't mean going completely different, veering away from the signature Jeep style.

It is also reported that the upcoming Wrangler will replace its removable roof with a permanent version for more structural integrity. However, power-operated soft top and hard top glass may still be considered an option. The interior will most likely to get the most revamped updates, with large round gauges with configurable instrument display, large round air vents, and the latest FCA Uconnect touchscreen multimedia system.

The next generation Wrangler could also offer a turbodiesel engine which may be a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 which is currently offered in Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500 pickup. The 2018 Jeep Wrangler will continue to deliver the best off-road strength and power because of its standard part-time four-wheel drive system with low range gearing. Jeep's Rock-Trac system may also be offered in higher trim levels.

As added by Extreme Terrain, September 2017 marks a special date for 2018 Jeep Wrangler. This is the month for its Sales and Press Launch. This should be the first major reveal of the design. The event will come with press packets that include pictures and videos presenting the wonder that this off-roading vehicle can offer.

As it is slated to be months from now, it won't be too long for buyers to experience the lighter version of Dana 44 in the upcoming Wrangler. This is designed to make the off-roading vehicle, even more, fuel efficient and lighter for more power and better performance. It is a known fact that axles have been the key feature of Jeep Wrangler and it will not change at all.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is also expected to have more legroom and an entirely spacious cabin. Other important and recent updates on the upcoming Jeep Wrangler will definitely be reported immediately.
