Dragon Ball Super Episode 78 kicks off with the official start of Universe Survival Arc through the Omni-Present Match. Since fans are bound to see the first match of the qualifying tournament, predictions and fan theories pop out. Remember, this information is not confirmed. Therefore, fans should take each information with a grain of salt.

Let's start things off with the official synopsis for Dragon Ball Super Episode 79 entitled, Universe 9's Kicker Basil vs. Universe 7's Majin Buu! As always, Herms98 provided the translated summary for Dragon Ball Super Episode 79.

"The showdown between Majin Buu and Universe 9's Basil in the first round of the Omni-Present Match has begun. Basil's kick techniques connect one after the other, and Universe 9's Kaisohin is [confident] of his victory, but Buu hasn't taken any damage."

Clearly, there is a huge cliffhanger on the synopsis itself. The question "Then? Or What's Next?" lingers. UnrealEntGaming guest host prediction suggests that Majin Buu will win this battle even though the preview showed him losing to Basil. One reason he pointed out is Basil calling Majin Buu a "Buffoon." To recall, Majin Buu does not want people mocking him, and that is a living testament a real fan knows. Next is the deadly smirk Majin Buu showed, and it indicates the true Majin Buu everyone knows. Apparently, Majin Buu will not be a disadvantage for the Universe 7. Fan theories believe that a huge turn around will happen in Dragon Ball Super Episode 79.

Now, Dragon Ball Super Episode 80 entitled, Awaken the Dormant Fighting Spirit! Son Gohan's Battle! Unfortunately, sources predict Gohan losing this fight due to certain reasons. But, before that here is the official translated synopsis for Dragon Ball Super Episode 80.

"The second round of the Omni-Present Match. Facing off against Universe 9's Lavenda, Gohan is sprayed in the face with poison mist and loses his eyesight. Unable even to sense his opponent's ki, Gohan is one-sidedly beaten around, but.."

So, going back to the point where Gohan will lose, the source explicitly mentioned Gohan is not in his perfect fighting form and he is up for character development. Although everyone witnessed Gohan's incredible exhibition with Goku from the previous episode, sources still believe that he will lose. Next, basing on the visuals, Gohan is wearing his glasses which signifies unpreparedness compare to the team poster where the complete Universe 7 roster portrayed.

There is a lot of symbolism leading to Gohan's failure in this match. But, these predictions interprets fan theories. Therefore, it could lead to a different outcome. Even the two host had some serious disagreement to who wins and who lost. As per sources, theoretically, Gohan may do something.

Everyone's opinion might be different in this case. All questions will be answered once Dragon Ball Super Episode 79 airs on February 19th, and Dragon Ball Super Episode 80 on February 26th. In your thoughts, who wins, and who lose? Share it in the comment section below.
