Honda Motor Co. stated that they're recalling 777,000 late-model Pilot and Odyssey models in Canada and the U.S. according to a report by Reuters.

The issue with the vehicles is due to a problem with the deployment of driver's side airbags according to American Honda.
No crashes or injures have been reported yet relating to the issue.
Honda has received complaints from customers and after investigating the vehicles, some of the airbags had been installed without required rivets that secure the airbag's plastic cover. If the rivets are in fact missing, the airbag may not deploy as it should. This could increase the chance of injury if an accident occurs.
Approximately 748,000 Pilot and Odyssey models in the U.S. have been recalled, and around 29,000 vehicles in Canada.
The Pilot SUV vehicles being recalled were produced in 2009 through 2013, meanwhile the Odyssey minivans were produced in 2011 through 2013.
This is the second recall Honda has had to issue in the last two months, as over 800,000 of the same models had to be recalled because the ignition key could be removed before the vehicle was in park. The company is still working on fixing that issue according to CNN.
Honda is planning on mailing out notifications to Pilot and Odyssey owners sometime during February. After receiving a letter, owners will then be asked to bring their vehicles to the closest dealership for inspection.
If it's determined your vehicle's driver side airbag needs a replacement, Honda engineers will do so free of charge according to Honda.
