Super Mario Run has increased Nintendos sales tremendously. People are truly nostalgic when it comes to the classic Mario Brothers game and never did they expect that there will come a day that it will resurface in the gaming world once again. Nintendo hit it big yet once again with their smartphone game "Super Mario Run!"

Reports from The Wall Street Journal said that Nintendo has already hit $50 million in sales since the introduction of the iconic Mario game once again. However, the company does not want to simply stop there.

During its release in December, last year for Apple devices, the "Super Mario Run" games has generated over 78 million downloads worldwide which were 5% more paying players in order to unlock the full content of the game.

But while these numbers are good, Tatsumi Kimishima, the Chief Executive of Nintendo said that he was not pleased with the outcome and he was expecting that the results should have been double. Nintendo is planning to release "Super Mario Run" for tablets and smartphones this coming March.

Aside from this, there are other ways that Nintendo is working on in order to boost more revenue for the company, The Verge reported. The popular Pokemon Go game has also contributed to the company's revenue. More smartphone games are lined up for release which includes "Animal Crossing" and "Fire Emblem: Heroes" which is set to be launched April or a bit later.

Super Mario Run made a big contribution to the company's earnings during the last quarter of 2016. So even if the console business of the firm became weak, they are optimistic that with the coming introduction of their new console game "Switch", we are all looking for a whole lot of new ball game when in the console gaming industry.
