The Samsung Galaxy S8 will not be launched at the Mobile World Congress. The Korean tech giant already announced this previously. But while the phone won't launch at the event, it doesn't mean that Samsung won't end up dropping a few surprises in Barcelona.

Forbes reports that the Samsung team is expected to drop a few hints during the Mobile World Congress. The site even believes that the big surprise might even be the S8's launch date.

The Korean Herald first reported that the Galaxy Tab 3 will be expected to take center stage during Samsung's presentation in Barcelona. This new tablet will be releasing the Tab 2 and will be a new and powerful tablet that may even rival the iPad Pro and Surface Pro 4 machines. The new Galaxy A handset is also expected to be launched, which is a mid-range handset that will compete against the OnePlus 3T.

The report continues and states that the Korean tech giant may very well end their presentation with the Samsung Galaxy S8's launch date revealed at the end. While in a perfect world the latest Android flagship would have launched at the event, the world was already informed in advance that this was not possible. It was already reported that the S8's launch will be delayed to make sure the batteries were 100% safe after what happened with the Note 7.

It is further speculated also that this move will be done so that the no show S8 will still remain "relevant" amidst all of the great smartphones reveals at the event. Other big launches that are expected to do well at the event include the LG G6, a new line of Sony Xperia devices, Motorola's Moto G5, and the BlackBerry DTEK70.

However, according to Forbes, the big winner of the event is expected to be Nokia's comeback into the smartphone world. Previously, Nokia was at the head of the cellular phone game and now it is very easy to believe that they can once again take the lead.

Will the Samsung Galaxy S8 Easter egg be enough to keep consumers happy? Or will Nokia make its comeback? Or will the big winner be the LG G6, Motorola Moto G5, or the BlackBerry DTEK70? Thoughts and comments below.
