A Ford F-150 pickup truck owned and used by former President George W. Bush will be put up for auction on Jan. 19 to help support American veterans according to a press release.

"With the help of former President Bush and the Fisher House Foundation, Barrett-Jackson is excited to be a part of this incredible sale," said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson in the press release. "Driven by a President and now benefiting veterans, this truck is an exceptional piece of Americana that would make any collector proud."

The 2009 vehicle is one of many items that will be up for sale as part of the Barrett-Jackson auction in January. The winner of the auction will also get an autographed picture of Bush inside the truck and a video of him signing and driving the vehicle around his ranch in Texas.

"I haven't driven on a street in many, many years, but I have been able to drive this truck on my ranch," said President Bush in a press statement. "I want to thank all those who are supporting the Fisher House. In supporting the Fisher House, you're supporting our veterans. And in supporting our veterans, you're helping America."

The 4x4 SuperCrew was used by Bush on his Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, TX according to the press release. The vehicle includes 11,200-pound towing capability, and a 5.4-liter V8 engine that can achieve 310-horsepower. The truck also features a full leather interior and the premium equipment package chosen by Bush himself.

The title is in Bush's name, and will be transferred to the winning buyer after the auction.

"These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease or injury," said Fisher House Foundation on their website.

Barrett-Jackson started selling vehicles that benefited the Fisher House Foundation in 2007, when they sold a CNN Hummer for approximately $1.25 million. More recently they sold a New Holland Tractor owned by Jay Leno and signed by President Bush for $535,000 just this past year.

Over $1.7 million funds have been raised through the foundation for Barrett-Jackson auctions according to the press release.
