The 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport certainly is one of the most anticipated smaller crossovers to be brought to the US. Nissan may not be as aggressive as its prolific competitors such as Honda and Toyota, but it still remains one of the best and to watch out for in terms of vehicle offerings. Nissan has outdone itself for bringing in this crossover to the US shores and is expected to be well-received by the buying public.

According to Motor Trend, the Nissan Rogue Sport is originally named as Qashqai, however, it was changed into a rather easier name that would ring a bell. The change of name was one of the best decisions. The name Rogue Sport certainly has this certain catch to it, giving the crossover a masculine, tough, and unique appeal.

It is considered a compact crossover. It is a five-passenger which is 12.1-inches longer with an extra 2.2-inches of wheelbase. It does have an available third row, extending the passenger load to about seven. The Rogue Sport is ideal for solo drivers or couples who want to enjoy the smaller vehicle to themselves. The Rogue version is then ideal for family and those who wish to have more passengers for a more exciting driving experience.

The 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport still offers 6.1 cubic feet of cargo space with the second-row seats folded down. When the second-row is being utilized, it then gets reduced to 23 feet. The compact crossover shares a lot of equipment including the Divide-N-Hide Cargo system that keeps items out of sight. This is only available on SV and SL trims.

This impressive crossover is powered by a direct-injection 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It is capable of generating 141-horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 147 pound-feet torque at 4,400 rpm. This smaller crossover is packed with the necessary power needed when driving.

As added by Digital Trends, the 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport also has notable standard features such as Bluetooth and Siri Eyes Free voice controls, a SiriusXM satellite radio receiver, a rear-view camera. It also has Nissan Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant.

The 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport is one of the best vehicles to see and experience as it gets officially released. The US is ready for such a smaller crossover which promises features that rival competitors leaving them by a mile.
