The 2017 Chevrolet Cruze is a great sedan that continues to transform and evolve for the better. Slowly but surely, it is drawing the attention of more and more people and converting them into Chevy Cruze lovers.

Pros and Features. The small sedan has a very attractive cabin with a beautiful two-tone color scheme. It is also nice and roomy with plenty of rear seat legroom. In addition, it offers plenty of useful convenience and technology components.

The compact sedan uses a front-wheel drive and has a turbocharged 1.4-liter four cylinder engine. It has 153 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is available for all models with the exception of the Premier.

The Chevy car has stability control and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. It also has both full-length side curtain, front knee, and front and rear side-impact airbags. It also has an automatic crash notification and roadside assistance available on demand.

Cons. The Cruze has somewhat disappointing acceleration and very regular fuel economy from a 1.4-liter engine. Additionally, there is only one standard engine choice offered.

Its engine's stop-start feature cannot be disabled. It is also unfortunate that the cruise control is not available for the L and LS models.

What's New? Chevrolet has finally added a new hatchback body style! In addition, all Cruze sedans come with a suite of parental watchdog parameters for their teen drivers. Other than that, there are no other significant changes from last year's complete redesign.

Models. The 2017 Chevrolet Cruze is now available in both a compact sedan and a hatchback. The sedan is available in four models: L, LS, LT, and Premier. The hatchback is only available in the LT and Premier models only.

The Cruze L includes 15-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, a MyLink infotainment system, and other interesting features. The LS has all the same amenities but adds a front center armrest and carpeted floor mats.

The LT has 16-inch alloy wheels, upgraded headlights and LED running lights, and an upgraded stereo system. The hatchback model comes with a cargo cover and rear spoiler. The Premier has all of the features of the LT plus 17-inch wheels, an upgraded rear suspension, chrome accents, and other upgraded features.

Pricing. The L model has an MSRP of $17,865 while the LS 4dr Sedan starts at $19,415. The LT model ranges from $21,890 stock to $23,585 with added features.

Verdict. The 2017 Chevrolet Cruze is a spectacular compact sedan. It simply gets better every year and now it's even got a hatchback. The next model will most likely be another crowd pleaser!
