Samsung Electronic's latest phone device the Galaxy S3 has sold over 30 million smart phones in just five months. The world's biggest mobile phone maker introduced the phone in May, beating out its competition like the iPhone 5.

Apple finally introduced the iPhone 5 in September and while the phone has proved popular in the U.S. Samsung has wisely released several advertisements to point out the flaws with the new iPhone.

The Galaxy S3 has a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and is designed for those who wish to run more than one app at a time. The phone comes with a 4.8 inch HD display system and with a 8 megapixel camera the phone takes better pictures than any previous Galaxy model and has an estimated battery life of around 12 hours.

The phone also features a unique device called the S Beam with shares pictures, music, and videos between two Galaxy phones. To access the S Beam you simply place both phones back to back and click the "Touch" button to share with someone.

The iPhone 5 is the closest competitor to the Galaxy S3 with a 4 inch screen, A6 processor and completely rebuilt design compared to the iPhone 4S. The company has advertised its Siri app consistently before and since releasing the phone as a voice assistant to help customers with many things like directions, finding a local business or any random question that comes to mind.

The average price for the 16GB iPhone 5 is currently at $199 and the price for the 32GB is $299. Some of its main specs include Wi-Fi capability, digital compass, and Bluetooth technology.

Samsung has been impressed so far with the high demand for the phone and the way the phone is selling in the U.S. Sales have been a lot better than they expected at this point as well, as it took the S2 over 13 months to sell 30 million phones according to Business Today.

The company announced on Tuesday that they will be making the phone available at AT&T for only $99.99 with a two year service contact according to Yahoo.

Samsung will also release a refurbished phone for only $149.99 through AT&T.

From July through September the company sold around 57 million total smartphones, meanwhile Apple sold a total of 26.9 million phones.
