2016 is a great year for the automobile industry. New cars have made their debut last year but there are at least some that outsold others.
There are a lot of cars that have been released last year. These releases attracted potential customers to flock various car dealer outlets to purchase a vehicle of their own. Some car brands whose names are familiar still managed to sell quite a lot. Competition rose with Tesla's autopilot cars that made automatic driving possible last year. Toyota Corolla. Toyota Corolla is without a doubt, the world's best-selling car model. Ever since its release in 1966, it sold enough units that it managed to surpass Volkswagen's Beetle line. Toyota released different models of the Corolla since its release in 1966 and managed to sell forty million units in 2013. In 2016, Corolla managed to sell 945,000 units, 2.4% less than 2015.
Toyota RAV4. The Toyota RAV4 SUV managed to sell quite a lot in 2016. From its sales of 487,885 units, it rose to 536,330 units in 2016. That's an increase of sales by 9.9%. The Toyota RAV4 is suited as a family vehicle because of its many features tailored in the SUV.
Honda Civic. The Honda Civic is dubbed as 2016's car of the year. They recently launched a 10th version of the Civic line which may have contributed to the Civic's popularity. The Honda Civic managed to sell 483,425 units in 2016, a 16.6% increase in sales from its 2015 sales of 414,704 units.
Volkswagen Golf. The Volkswagen Golf is a popular vehicle for families for years. The unit managed to sell 730,178 units in 2016. That is 7.1% less of the total sales in 2015, which is around 786,049 units. The main points for the Volkswagen Golf are its classy look, peerless refinement, and good performance. With good features comes with a great market price since it is still expensive to buy them.
